Policy, Planning and Accountability Division
Responsibilities:
The Division of Policy, Planning and Accountability is responsible for
managing all major functions related to the Transparency and Accountability Act,
this includes supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of
department and education entity plans and annual reports.
The Division is also responsible for providing professional advice to the
executive, as appropriate, on branch issues.
Services
- Provides support and ensures all applicable legislative requirements
under the Transparency and Accountability Act are met by the department and
its 17 entities;
- Provides other professional advice to the 17 entities;
- Liaises with central agency and other departments respecting branch
issues;
- Develops, analyzes and disseminates branch policy;
- Performs analysis as required (Gender, Rural, Red Tape, etc);
- Prepares correspondence and briefing notes as appropriate on branch
issues; and
- Coordinates departmental responses to requests made under the Auditor
General Act pertaining to non-financial issues.
