Student Support Services Division
Services
The Student Support Services Division is responsible for:
- development of policies and procedures for implementation of student
support services/programs
- supporting the delivery of student supports based upon Department
policies and procedures
- research and evaluation of current educational practices
- consultation with district office and school personnel regarding
programming for students with exceptionalities
- provision of professional development in response to requests from
school districts
- supporting the implementation of Pathways to Programming & Graduation
- provision of specific student supports such as special transportation,
student assistant support, alternate format materials, and assistive
technology
- liaising with school districts, parent groups, community agencies, other
divisions within the Department of Education, and other departments as
necessary
