INSTRUMAR

design, install, and support information systems based on their
patented sensor technologies.
C/FIMS™
is an aircraft-mounted sensor system for monitoring the
effectiveness of the applied de/anti-icing fluids and the
detection of ice, frost and snow build-up on the wings of
aircraft during ground operation.
This sensing technology performs the following functions:

detects, discriminates and measures the thickness of the
contaminant, the layers of
contaminants on the surface, specifically the frost,
snow and de/anti-icing fluids levels;

measures
and indicates the integrity of the de/anti-icing fluid;
-
predicts
the onset of fluid failure and the immanence of ice
adhesion;
-
accurately
measures aircraft skin temperature.
INSTRUMAR
holds the patent for the C/FIMS™ technology and exclusively
licenses Honeywell Aerospace for product commercialization in
the aerospace sector.
A
typical C/FIMS™ installation consists of up to eight sensors
flush-mounted on the wing or tail surface of an aircraft and
connected to a central control unit and a cockpit display
module. The number
and position of the sensors is aircraft specific.
Attalus™
Fiber System
INSTRUMAR has
taken its patented sensing technology and applied it to the
synthetic polymer fiber industry. The Attalus™ Fiber
System is a complete, end to end, on-line monitoring system for
the synthetic fiber industry.
The system provides on-line detection of product and
process faults in real-time, providing greater control of
manufacturing. Based
on sophisticated radio frequency electromagnetic technology,
Attalus™ has a
heightened sensitivity to critical yarn properties associated
with the mass, finish, and shape of the fiber.
It provides reliable, real-time information about denier,
interlace count, interlace quality and spin finish - practical
information that enables easier business management and improved
profitability.
Real-time
monitoring of fiber equips producers with the ability to
recognize, define, measure, and analyze quality control concerns
as the fiber is manufactured. This results in the control and
improvement of the production process, thereby reducing
off-specification fiber, while increasing yields and
profitability.
