School Bus Safety on the Bus
- Always obey the bus driver.
- Avoid any unnecessary conversation with the bus driver when he/she is
concentrating on driving.
- Respect the driver and your fellow passengers.
- When entering the bus, go directly to your seat and remain seated.
- When you arrive at your bus stop, at school or home, wait until the bus
comes to a complete stop before standing and walking to the exit.
- Share your seat with someone.
- Sit facing forward with your belongings on your lap. Keep the aisles
clear!
- Do not open any windows without asking the permission from the bus
driver first.
- If a window is open, you must not stick anything outside.
- Never tamper with an emergency exit unless specifically instructed to do
so by the bus driver.
- Shhh…talk quietly to friends and people sitting around you. When people
talk loud the bus driver is distracted from their driving.
- Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted on the bus.
- Do not intentionally damage or deface the bus.
- Refrain from throwing anything in, out or at the school bus.
